ode to Romania!
Catrinel Menghia started her model career at the age of 16, when she was discovered by an agent while training for a competition. She became a top model very soon as she was discovered by the famous agency MRA.
Catrinel is the first Romanian model that has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Moreover she shoot for Vogue Sposa and for Mariella's Burani wedding gowns collection.
Catrinel Menghia is only one of the many Romanian top models who have claimed their spot on the international runways and in magazines and ads for globally famous fashion labels. However, she is one of the few, after Victoria's Secret angels to have taken the world by storm only in her lingerie. And the beautiful Romanian has just gotten started.

you know it's going to be a good week by the shoes you wear on Monday

ode to Romania!

On 1st December is the national day of Romania so I decided to bring to light some models and designers that are famous here but which, unfortunately, are very little known outside the boundaries of our country. I have two days ahead, so I'm doing my best, in order to present to you as many new faces as I can.

New or not. For example I was very surprised to find out that famous designers have discovered yet other Romanian models beside Irina Lazareanu. Ioana Timoce is a young girl who started her career at the age of 15 and after only 2 years she presented for Chanel and appeared in magazines such as Glamour, Elle and Harper's Bazaar...and she was also featured on FashionCopious.

Ioana Timoce

"She popped in and out of TheOnes2Watch so quickly she almost went unnoticed! Or was it that she got noticed so fast that an exclusive deal is already under way? Either way Ionana Timoce is bound to leap on to some major runway come this September. She's too special to stay hidden for long. Here is what I know about her so far, she’s Romanian and stands 5' 9", with light brown hair and blue eyes. And is signed with New Madison in Paris. That's kind of it for now, which ads to the mystery. But before her profile was pulled out, to2w had stated that she "already has big interest from major clients"! Could that client be say...Miuccia, for either miu miu or Prada? I wont be surprised, as she always has a keen eye for new faces and likes to reserve them for her self." FashionCopious

...but still be go on saying that we are just fine that we ,sir, don't need the others help. OK, let's face it... nobody is just fine, we all have problems, we encounter difficulties that sometimes we can surpass and others leave bruises. and the big question still remains why don't we seek what the Francaise call "a coup de main"?
Honestly, I don't know. And the funniest thing is that nobody really knows. All of them have opinions, reasons, pro and against arguments but they fail to give the right answer. Why? Je ne sais pas. :-??

ps: I like the quote, that's the reason of the whole philosophy :)

100% a Vogue girl?

How on earth would you describe a Vogue girl?

You know that girl that you see on the street and turn your head to look at her because she caught your eyes?...maybe because of her clothes? Or the girl that does nothing but reading the magazines? Or...
In fact I don't even think there is the right description for a Vogue girl. She might as well be a normal girl, the next door girl, with an unusual attraction for the fashion world. She does not necessary have to be a avid reader of Vogue, a model or a society girl but she must necessary be 100% passionate.
So how would you describe a Vogue girl? It even might be you...
